QuickBooks

Off the Shelf integrates with QuickBooks, providing a smooth transition between the two sides of manufacturing: making stuff and getting paid!

Manufacturing has two rudimentary goals:

  1. Make Stuff!

  2. Get Paid!

Off The Shelf is the tool that helps us Make Stuff.

QuickBooks is an online accounting tool that helps us Get Paid!

The real power of Off The Shelf is that it can talk directly to QuickBooks. Allowing us to Make Stuff and Get Paid faster!

This integration allows allows Estimates and Invoices to be created in QuickBooks and then to generate Sales Orders in Off The Shelf with just a click of a button. Watch all of your Customer information and Products from QuickBooks generate your new Sales Order to kick off Making Stuff!

OR

Let Off The Shelf generate a QuickBooks Invoice that can be sent to the customer to Get You Paid!

Steps to Integrate with QuickBooks:

  1. Map(or Link) Customers and Map Products from QuickBooks to Off The Shelf

  2. Or start creating Off The Shelf Sales Orders from QuickBooks Invoices or Off The Shelf Sales Orders from QuickBooks Estimates and let Off The Shelf tell you when to Map Customers and Products as you go.

Mapping - Mapping a Product or Customer is when you create link between the Off The Shelf Product or Customer to the QuickBooks Product or Customer.

This allows for your QuickBooks Invoices and Estimates to have names for Products or Customers that are different from what they are named in Off The Shelf, but still link to the matching Product or Customer in QuickBooks.

This gives you flexibility to name Products or Customers differently in Off The Shelf and QuickBooks.

All of the QuickBooks integration has been built with Just In Time(JIT) manufacturing concepts in mind. There is no need to map your Customers or Products in both Off The Shelf and QuickBooks prior to integration, but you can if you like.

Instead, Off The Shelf will tell you when you need to add a new Customer or Product to Off The Shelf or QuickBooks.

Focus on the one Sales Order at hand instead of focusing on managing your whole product line and customer list just to make one Sales Order.
